Most wasteful DKI Jakarta Premium Gasoline Consumption

Jakarta - Until the first half of 2011, there were 11 provinces in Indonesia that wasteful consumption of fuel subsidies kind of premium. In 11 provinces, the consumption of premium exceeds the allotted quota of up to above 5% of the established government. DKI Jakarta so that terboros!

This is consistent with that presented the Director General of Oil and Gas Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Evita Legowo in a working meeting Revised State Budget 2011 discussion with members of House Commission VII performed at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (07/07/2011).

Based on the presentation, there are 11 provinces that exceed the allotted quota set by the government up to above 5%. While there are 8 provinces in excess of the quota but is still below 5%. Then there is only one province that the target consumption in accordance with the quota specified (January 1, 2011 - 30 June 2011).

The following provinces premium consumption in the top 5% of the quota:

North = 107% (0.70 million KL realization)
West Sumatra = 109% (0.30 million KL realization)
Riau = 106% (0.37 million KL realization)
Riau Islands = 107% (0.14 million KL realization)
Jambi = 110% (0.19 million KL realization)
South Sumatra = 109% (0.37 million KL realization)
Bangka Belitung = 112% (0.13 million KL realization)
DKI Jakarta = 111% (0.96 million KL realization)
Bantam = 107% (0.62 million KL realization)
West Java = 106% (1.97 million KL realization)
South Kalimantan = 107% (0.23 million KL realization)

The following provinces premium consumption below 5% of the quota:

Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam = 105% (0.24 million KL realization)
Lampung = 104% (0.34 million KL realization)
Central Java = 102% (1.26 million KL realization)
DI Yogyakarta = 104% (0.22 million KL realization)
East Java = 103% (1.66 million realisai KL)
Bali = 102% (0.35 million KL realization)
East Kalimantan = 104% (0.27 million KL realization)
South Sulawesi = 105% (0.39 million KL realization)

Provincial premium consumption in accordance with the quota is the realization of Bengkulu 0.09 million kl (KL).

"So, the realization of a premium in excess of consumption is the highest quota of Jakarta, while the share of national consumption is the highest premium of West Java," Evita response.

Evita also presented, diesel consumption also experienced excess consumption. There are 15 provinces that share of its quota of more than 5%, and 4 provincial quota allotted more than the target but still below 5%. Only one province not more than the target.

"For the consumption of kerosene, all of which do not exceed the assigned quota targets," he added.

As is known, until recently subsidized fuel consumption of premium has exceeded the quota set to 105% nationally.

This is due to the disparity between oil prices pertamax (non-subsidized) and premium (subsidy) due to high world oil prices in recent years, resulting in migration to the consumption of premium.

The government also has not yet willing to raise premium prices in order to minimize the existing price disparity. In addition, restrictions on subsidized fuel plan that promised the government implemented in April 2011 to date has not been done.

Thus, fear of subsidized fuel consumption could 'collapse' the government proposes to increase subsidized fuel quota of 40.49 million KL.
